Lily with her nose dive, and runny nose.
Lily first fell off the couch backwards Thurs. morning and then later that afternoon took a nose dive on the concrete, I feel like she is early on her terrible twos. She is throwing fits, hitting, and definitely wanting to do everything independently and the opposite of what Mom wants. She was lifting her arm to hit me in the face which made her loose balance and fall backwards off the couch. And I brought her up the two stairs to come in the house and she decided she could walk right down herself and I couldn't grab her quick enough, she made the first step alright but the second was a doosey. She also just got stuffed up with a runny nose we will just say I have not slept well lately.
Today we went around the block for the neighborhood garage sale day. She decided she needed to walk she was petting all the doggies etc. and we usually are quite cautious and always ask first. Well the owner of one dog said, that his was friendly but it was growling so I kept taking her away it ended up growling and kinda snapping also at a dog next to it and it scared Lily because it made her fall on her bum she started to cry but after I held her she got back down and still went to see the same dog..... I was so surprised. The first garage sale we went to I could not, not purchase this mini kitchen for 2 dollars. Nathan may be a little discouraged not about the purchase but having to find a way to take it with us, hopefully we can strap it down on top of the car.....2 dollars!!! It matches the tea party table I have for her. We also got some super cute clothes for 25 cents or less (like the dress she wears below). We went with three other Mom's and there kiddos that all just turned one. We may meet up with them later for a Jazz festival here on the block also. How fun we may want to stay home to prepare for Daddies day though.
Tongue boogy scoop

I could have written the exact same first paragraph when Alex was Lily's age. Being half-baby and half-kid wanting to be independant, but not quite ready for it yet. I don't know if you remember, but Alex pretty much had a permanently bruised forehead his entire second year. It got better, believe it or not, around the time he turned two. I really believe the "terrible two's" are actually the time between one and two.
What a raspberry! Yet, she is still smiling ... she may be a little butt lately, but she is just so darn cute!
Can't wait for you to come to Boston and play ...
