Poor Nosie

Lily with her nose dive, and runny nose.

Lily first fell off the couch backwards Thurs. morning and then later that afternoon took a nose dive on the concrete, I feel like she is early on her terrible twos. She is throwing fits, hitting, and definitely wanting to do everything independently and the opposite of what Mom wants. She was lifting her arm to hit me in the face which made her loose balance and fall backwards off the couch. And I brought her up the two stairs to come in the house and she decided she could walk right down herself and I couldn't grab her quick enough, she made the first step alright but the second was a doosey. She also just got stuffed up with a runny nose we will just say I have not slept well lately.

Today we went around the block for the neighborhood garage sale day. She decided she needed to walk she was petting all the doggies etc. and we usually are quite cautious and always ask first. Well the owner of one dog said, that his was friendly but it was growling so I kept taking her away it ended up growling and kinda snapping also at a dog next to it and it scared Lily because it made her fall on her bum she started to cry but after I held her she got back down and still went to see the same dog..... I was so surprised. The first garage sale we went to I could not, not purchase this mini kitchen for 2 dollars. Nathan may be a little discouraged not about the purchase but having to find a way to take it with us, hopefully we can strap it down on top of the car.....2 dollars!!! It matches the tea party table I have for her. We also got some super cute clothes for 25 cents or less (like the dress she wears below). We went with three other Mom's and there kiddos that all just turned one. We may meet up with them later for a Jazz festival here on the block also. How fun we may want to stay home to prepare for Daddies day though.

Sand Monster

We just got this swim wear/rash guard outfit and decided to try it out today, I still put sunscreen on her naked body before her rash guard shirt but her shirt is 90% uva/uvb protection. It is really nice to not feel like I have to constantly apply sunscreen on her back and shoulders and it is Carter brand at Costco for $15 dollars, I would say it is definitely worth it. She also wears her hat but I always have to wait for that as you will see below, she loves the sand so I give her a few moments and then try to brush her off with a dry cloth before her hat. If it would not go into her eyes I would use the sand as an extra layer of sunscreen.

Fun Snack Etc.

Hair growing in a little thicker I had to trim along her ears last month because it was tickling her like crazy but that was dumb because it is just tickling again.
I got this recipe from a cute book (Toddler Cafe) but it really is hardly a recipe as it is just throwing stuff you may have already together. Lily and I love it, it is our dessert after lunch and sometimes even after dinner. I use a little chopper and chop it a little finer than the recipe. All it it is is, chopped fruit ( 1apple 1peach 1cup strawberries 1tsp balsamic vinegar) and a few tortillas with butter spread and a hefty amount of sugar and cinnamon, then baked at 350' until golden but not too golden. I usually cut the tortillas in pie pieces before the oven so that there is less mess when pulling them apart to make chips. Anyways it is a nummy little snack and I really am trying to write more on my blog but it has been hard to top Disney Land and Sea World, I feel like everything now is a bore. At least this counts as two for the week.

Little butt, here she is caught playing with the blinds again. She decides to choose yucky old blinds as a place to hide. We have 9 windows at her level just like this and I do like a little privacy especially at night when it is light in the house for everyone to look inside. So we play the blind game, all of them go down when she goes to sleep and then through out the day they all go up, fun times at least for her ..she is just too kissable to get mad at.

Sea World Times Take 1

You may ask, why is John Dillier's friend selling swords at Sea World, then again you may also ask, why is there a pets exhibit at sea world. But we enjoyed it.

Disney Land Day

Courtesy of our friend Raschell we were given free passes to Disney Land. Thank you very much Raschell we had so much fun. We did a lot of little things for Lily and missed out on some big kid rides but I was more excited to go for her anyways. We saw the princesses and they signed a nightgown I got for her that is a size 3-4 ...I figured it would be fun for her and she would probably be a little into princesses soon. On our walk back to our car we were crossing the street and I saw my aunt Penny and uncle Steve it was crazy they had just stepped out of their hotel at the precise moment we were headed back to our car otherwise we would have missed them all together. (I guess since the ride, It's a small world after all was closed we needed something else to get that song in our head) My aunt's Family is at Disney Land today and headed our way for the rest of the week so Lily and I may get the chance to play with them. Here is a slide show of our Disney Land Day.
