My hard time processing that I am having a boy continues. As well as forgetting that I will be with a newborn in a shorter and shorter time frame... do I really think I will be pregnant forever? Or is part of the knowing it is a boy and feeling so inexperienced have me trying to slow down the process. Honestly everyone had me believing it was a girl and now I feel all my girlishness that I have gathered with Lily will go to waste. Lily is growing up and soon all my princess, tea parties, makeup, frilly pinkness, will come to an end. This makes me sad. Thank goodness auntie Stephani is having a girl or I think I would really get depressed. To those mommas with boys tell me some things ...get me hyped up on this little man stuff....send photos of your boys nursery or something if you need .....some advice etc.?

Jen, Don't worry! You're going to ADORE your little boy! I wondered if I could adore a boy like I did my Lily girl...and I found out that I do! I have loved having a girl and a boy. It's so much fun to see how they're similar and inately different.
You're going to love finding little piles of cars all around your house. And you'll love how he adores you in a different way than your girl does. He'll show you affection sometimes by snuggling and hugging...other times by walking up to you and hitting you with a big smile.
Your Lily is getting older but she won't grow out of her femininity. She'll continue to love jewelry, sparkles, and pinkness. And now you just get to add fun boy stuff to the mix: construction vehicles, trains, cars, trucks, wrestling, and grunting. :) It's so much fun! You're going to love being a mama to a boy as well as a girl!
You are going to love a boy! I remember being pregnant with Bentley and wondering if I could handle a boy since I am such a girlie girl. But let me tell you I love love love my little Bentley. They are truly sweet and full of surprises. Bentley is a Momma's boy and I love it. There is definitely something about a boy and a special bond they share with their mommy. So you will find that out as your little boy grows up. You will do great with a boy! Congrats!
We need to hang out or something. I can type and type to you about why boys are awesome. I am sorry you are feeling different about the whole thing...I remember feeling that too. UGhh what am I going to do with a boy??? I have never been around a boy baby ever!
After Cameron, I want all boys. I think they are so magical!! I don't even know what I would do with a girl now. I love everything about boys. Like your friend said above, piles of cars...affection...all true.
I love how easy and relaxed boys are. I love their toys. I love their voices, their smell, the "rough" playing. Getting Cam dressed is my favorite thing ever. I don't even notice girl clothes anymore. It is so fun to dress them like little men, like their daddys. Button down shirts and jeans...Cute boy sweaters and jackets...LOVE IT ALL!!!
Come spend a day with Cam and you will be convinced!!! : )
I have pictures of his room before he was born on facebook...you can see what I did.
oh, remember how you wanted to see Brady's room when we met and you guys came to our bbq?? You so wanted a little boy too. It is so fun! Fun in a different kind of way. It's fun in a rough way. Instead of a sweet way. Not that boys aren't sweet, they really do melt your heart sometimes. They are so adventurous and exciting. and then at the same time, so loving towards mama and sisters. You will LOVE it!

This is what you will look like with your son (because Max is so Dillier-ish, I'm fairly certain your boy will look identical to Max)
You get the best of both worlds now, you get princesses and makeup and all that girly pink stuff with Lily, but you also get super heros and robots and playing pirates. It's easier to roughhouse with a boy, turn them upside down and throw them giggling into a pile of pillows. Of course, you can do this with a girl, but it's EXPECTED with a boy.
Boys aren't complicated, they're rarely dramatic. They can be wild and crazy, but mine are also VERY sweet and loving. Watching the father/son relationship grow will make you fall in love with your husband all over again.
Also, and probably the most compelling reasons to be excited about having a boy, if you're at the park or otherwise no where near a potty, and he yells "I GOTTA PEE!" all you need to do is point him in the direction of the nearest tree or bush.
Congratulations!!!! You will LOVE having a boy. I worried about it, too, when I was pregnant with Cole, but there was no need. There's something special about the bond between a boy and his mom that surprised me. You will love it, I promise.
